Time Quota Types

In this section you define the attendance and absence quota types that you
wish to use for managing time accounts. You specify how attendances and
absences are to be deducted from the employees' quotas.
Time/Measurement Unit Text

This field specifies the unit of time or measurement which is to be used as a basis for calculations.

Start Time

Use

If you create an absence quota type with the hours time unit, you can specify default values for the start and end times.
The system proposes the default values when you enter absence quota types in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006).

Negative deduction

Specifies the value in hours or days by which the time quota can be deducted over and above the entitlement.

Rounding for daily reduction of time quotas

This field defines how payroll days are calculated from absence days.
It is interpreted when you enter an absence type in the Absences infotype (2001).
This field is of particular significance for calculating leave as, in most cases, the system accepts only whole or half days of
leave.

Use

Periods of less than one day which do not constitute an exact half day of leave can be entered if the field contains one of
the following values:

Value Meaning

0 Each value results in one day of leave (the value is calculated from the Multiplier field in the Control Table for Absences
and Leave
Calculation (T554X).

1 Even if the calculated hours do not exactly correspond to a full half day of leave, 0.5 leave days are posted. Hourly
deductions, however, are computed according to the times entered.

2 All calculated values are deducted from the leave account.

3 Values are rounded as follows:

No. of hours <= 24% of planned hours:
No leave day is calculated.
No. of hours >= 25% <= 74% of planned hours:
The system calculates a half day of leave.
No. of hours => 75% of planned hours:
The system rounds up to a full day of leave.

4 You create a constant in the customizing system (URLRN,view V_T511K). This constant is read as a percentage of planned
working hours.

In the standard system, this constant is 60%.If the absence time exceeds this percentage of planned hours, the system
calculates a whole day of leave. If this percentage is not exceeded, the system calculates a half day.

If you are calculating leave in calendar days, do not use rounding type '2' for days off.

Indicator "locked for compensation"

If there is an entry in the field, the current quota type is locked for compensation.

Transfer remaining entitlement

Specifies that the absence quota type remaining is copied from the Leave Entitlement infotype (0005).
Procedure

Only select this field, if you want to use report RPTLEACONV (Transfer Remaining Leave from Infotype 0005 to Infotype
2006).
Unit of quota types

Specifies the unit (hours or days) in which the specified attendance or
absences quotas should be deducted.
Procedure

When you define the deduction rule, you should only use attendance and
absence quota types that are managed in the unit specified.

Quota type for subsequent deduction

The quota type for subsequent deduction specifies how the system
processes quotas that are not listed under Attendance/absence quota
types.

Use

Under Attendance/absence quota types, you entered quota types that
should always be deducted by this deduction rule. You must now specify
whether any further quotas the employee has should also be deducted.
There are three options:

1. No further deduction
Only the quotas specified under Attendance/absence quota types are
deducted.
2. All other quota types sorted in ascending order
If the employee has other quotas that are deducted in the specified time unit, they are sorted in ascending order for deduction (first 01,
then 02, 03, etc.)

3. All other quota types sorted in descending order
If the employee has other quotas that are deducted in the specified time unit, they are sorted in descending order for deduction (first 99,
then 98, 97, etc.)

Dependencies

Under Deduction priority, you can specify whether you want the quota type to be the main criterion for determining the sequence in
which the quotas are deducted. The start of validity of a quota can also have the highest priority for determining the sequence, for
example.

Priority for deduction sequence for quotas

Specifies the priority with which the quota types should be taken into account when determining the deduction sequence.
If you indicate a quota type as not relevant, it is the last sort criterion to be taken into account when the sequence is determined.

Valid from date for deduction

Specifies the priority with which the valid from date of a quota record is taken into account to determine the deduction sequence.

Deduction to

Determines the priority with which the deduction to date of a quota record is taken into account to determine the deduction sequence.

Sort criteria for deduction

Specifies whether the criteria entered is to be sorted in descending or ascending order.

Examples

You want to deduct quota for the employee that will be the first to be forfeited or to expire. To do so, specify the Deduction end (date) in
ascending order.
