Begin core time 1

If employees work flextime, the core time defines the period during which they
must be at work each day.

Examples

Flextime model FLEX:
07:00 - 09:00 : Flextime
09:00 - 12:00 : Core time 1
12:00 - 13:00 : Break
13:00 - 16:00 : Core time 2
16:00 - 18:00 : Flextime

Begin tolerance time

Daily work schedule tolerances define the period within which a clock-in or
clock-out entry is rounded up or down.
They prevent the system from interpreting clock-in/-out times which are shortly
before/after the start or end of planned working time as overtime or working
time violations.

Examples

Planned working time: 07:00 - 16:00
Begin tolerance: 07:00 - 07:05
Employee's clock-in entry: 07:03
Basis for time evaluation: 07:00

Dependencies
Times are rounded in the personnel calculation schema of RPTIME00 using
function DPTOL.

Daily Work Schedule Class

The daily work schedule class is a feature used to define daily work schedules.
You use it to create evaluation criteria for a daily work schedule. According to
the evaluation criteria, daily work schedules can be used in differen ways in
time wage type selection, attendance and absence counts, or in time
evaluation.
The working times defined in a daily work schedule are not influenced by the assignment of a daily work schedule class. As a result, the
daily work schedule class respresents an additional evaluation of a daily work schedule.

Daily work schedule classes can be identified by any number between 0 and 9.

Example

You want to specify a working time model in which Saturday is a day off but your employees can work if they choose to do so. You define a
daily work schedule with the desired planned hours and classify it with the daily work schedule class 0, which is stored as a day off.
In the personel work schedule, create a daily work schedule specifying Saturday as a day off. If the employee works on a Saturday, the
planned hours of the daily work schedule can be treated as overtime.

Use

The day program class is used in
table 510S for wage type generation and in
table 554X for counting leave days.

Values:
0 (for day program FREE),
Otherwise 1-9.
The designation FREE actually has no relevancy anymore!

Indicates whether overtime is allowed

This indicator is only applicable to flextime daily work schedules, allowing you to set how the system reacts when recording overtime.
The indicator is only effective when recording overtime online. It does not affect processing of overtime records in time evaluation.

Reaction to overtime in core time

This indicator is only relevant for flextime daily work schedules.

You can use the indicator to specify how the system should react if overtime is entered for the core time of a daily work schedule.
The indicator is only effective if you are recording overtime using the Overtime infotype (2005). It has no effect on the processing of
overtime in time evaluation.

Period Work Schedules

A period work schedule is made up of a sequence of daily work schedules over a defined period.
Period work schedules can extend over one week, several weeks, or a period that is not divisible by seven.
Period Work Schedule

The period work schedule defines an employee's working hours for a specific period (e.g. week) and also specifies how the hours are
distributed.

It is made up of a sequence of daily work schedule and sets a working pattern which is repeated each period.
One character is provided for each day of the period.
The period work schedule is used to generate a monthly work schedule.

Examples

Period work schedule for 3-shift operation:
Week no. 001 Week no. 002 Week no. 003
DAY DWS DAY DWS DAY DWS
===================================================
01 Early 8 Late 15 Night
02 Early 9 Late 16 Night
03 Early 10 Late 17 Night
04 Early 11 Late 18 Night
05 Early 12 Late 19 Night
06 Off 13 Off 20 Off
07 Off 14 Off 21 Off

Week Number

The sequence of daily work schedules for one week is displayed under the week number.

Use

Period work schedules can also extend over several weeks. A 3-week rotating shift containing three different shifts is assigned the week
numbers 001, 002 and 003.

When the work schedule is generated, the week numbers are assigned sequentially in ascending order (001, 002, 003).

Daily Work Schedule

Employee-oriented description of the duration and position of working time on a particular, unspecified workday.

Procedure

Enter a daily work schedule here.

The view has seven fields for entering daily work schedules. Enter the seven daily work schedules for the week in the seven fields. Days
off should be assigned the daily work schedule OFF.

Enter the work schedule for a Monday under 01, and for a Sunday under 07.

Day Type

The day type defines the payment relevancy of a certain calendar day, and also the planned attendance regardless of the daily work
schedule.
As a general rule, all days with a day type other than 0 or BLANK are non-working days.

Rule for day types

The rule for day types is used to determine whether the day in question is a working day, Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.

Use

You can specify which day types apply on which days for each day type defined in the system.
Each work schedule has its own rule for determining day types.
You define these rules in the customizing system in the Rules for day types view.
Day type for weekday and holiday class

The day type which is assigned to a calendar day determines whether it is a working or non-working day. It can also influence
payment.

Use

This string contains 10 columns. A public holiday class is assigned to each column.
The entry b in the first column indicates that there is no public holiday class assigned to the column.
